Born in Dominican Republic, Amelia holds a degree in law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra of Santo Domingo and a Master's degree from the University of Miami, School of Law.

Prior to her current role in co-leading the success of Arte Latin-Oh!, Amelia held positions as a senior corporate attorney for large corporations including BellSouth Corporation, MasterCard International and Ingram Micro Inc. Where she had the opportunity to provide legal advice and participate in a wide array of multi-million dollar negotiations throughout Latin America. She soon became a valuable asset to Fortune 100 corporations due to her deep understanding and knowledge of the Latin America region, their laws and their business practices.

Amelia has spent a large amount of her time traveling to Latin America. She's fluent in four languages. One of her favorite hobbies is to find ways to share her culture with her two kids and husband.
