Pilar was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Advertising from Universidad Iberoamericana (honors gradúate: Magna Cum Laude), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, Pilar then moved to Miami where she earned a Master's degree in Art Direction from the Miami Ad School.

Prior to co-founding Arte Latin-Oh!, Pilar worked as a Creative Art Director exclusively on the Hispanic market for premiere advertising agencies, such as Pagés BBDO in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; López Negrete Advertising in Houston, TX; and Lápiz-Leo Burnett USA in Chicago, IL. Her unique creative work has been an asset for accounts such as Coke, Bank of America, Disney, Disneyland, Hanes, Kellog's, McDonald's, Phillip Morris, Procter & Gamble, Tecate, Toys "R" Us, Sara Lee, Wal-Mart, Wrigley's, among many others.

Pilar is bilingual and bicultural. She has traveled all around Latin America and the world. Her work reflects her education, her discipline and her passion for the Latin culture.
